Dipped Products sustains sales & profits in difficult year

Higher contributions from plantations coupled with internal measures to counter rising raw material costs helped Dipped Products PLC post healthy revenue growth in 2010‐11 and maintain profitability in a year of contracting margins in its hand protection businesses.
Haycarb posts profit after tax of Rs 574 million for 2010-11

Haycarb PLC, the Hayleys Group’s multi‐national activated carbon manufacturing business and leading activated carbon manufacturer in Sri Lanka, has reported turnover of Rs 6.4 billion and profit before tax of Rs 724 million for the year ending 31st March 2011, a period of challenge as a result of worsening raw material shortages.
Rural Outgrower Programme

Forest Replanting Program (FRP)

Go Green

MIT Cargo’s ‘Go Green’ programme comprises four main initiatives, i.e. ‘Recycling of polythene,’ ‘Food waste,’ ‘Paper collection’ and ‘Drive Green’. The Company also plans to introduce several more elements to the programme in the future.
Firstlight

Puritas Sath Diyawara

This project under the banner “Puritas Sath Diyawara” is the key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative undertaken by the Hayleys Group at a cost of Rs. 21 million covering a total of six villages in the financial year 2014/2015.
Puritas (Pvt) Ltd commissioned its first Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant in D10 Maithreepura, Padaviya under their CSR project, ‘Puritas Sath Diyawara’ on the 15th of August 2014 and later commissioned the opening of three more plants on the 10th of March 2015.
Funded, designed and constructed by the Haycarb group, under the guidance of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, this plant will provide purified potable water for approximately 5000 villagers in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. This will directly contribute to the efforts to mitigate the spread of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in the area and uplift the socio-economic conditions of the people of that region.
Agricultural Inputs

Plans to revive tourism in the picturesque Passikudah bay on Sri Lanka’s east coast reached a milestone on 6th March 2012, with the commissioning of a hi-tech central sewage and waste water treatment plant for the proposed National Holiday Resort, comprising of 13 star class hotels.
