Our customers range from a US homemaker who purchases a pair of rubber gloves, to a rural Sri Lankan farmer who uses our agrarian inputs; Mc Donalds who purchases the gherkins we add value to; a Sri Lankan hospital which uses the X Ray machines we market, to a household that uses the multitude of consumer brands we market in Sri Lanka. Hence, the mechanisms used across the group to enhance the experiences to its customers are as varied, but all are driven by a core company mantra – Enduring Customer Value‘. Adopting a strong ‘grow Sri Lanka’ orientation, Hayleys has several hundreds of local suppliers who employ many thousands. They range from raw material suppliers to subcontractors to out growers, scattered across the county. Many have grown with us, some over several generations and are proud entrepreneurs today.
A strong customer centric approach in the design, manufacture and delivery of our products and services has helped us hold market leadership or a dominant position in a number of industries. Hayleys owes much of its growth to its longstanding and mutually rewarding relationships established over the years with suppliers and partners. Our supplier base cuts across geographical and social boundaries and our global partnerships extend to some of the world’s leading brands, reputed for upholding high business standards and ethical practices. These partnerships have stood the test of time, having met many challenges in the market place.
