Appointed to the Board in 2008 and as Co Chairman in June 2014.Mr. Dhammika Perera is the quintessential business leader, with interests in a variety of key industries including Hydropower generation, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Entertainment, Banking and Finance. He has over 25 years of experience in building formidable businesses through unmatched strategic foresight. Mr. Perera is the Chairman of Sampath Bank PLC, Vallibel One PLC, Vallibel Power Erathna PLC, Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC,The Fortress Resorts PLC , Delmege Limited and Sun Tan Beach Resorts Ltd. He is the Co- Chairman of Hayleys PLC, Executive Deputy Chairman of LB Finance PLC and Deputy Chairman of Horana Plantations PLC, and Lanka Ceramics PLC. He is the Executive Director of Vallibel Finance PLC and also serves on the Boards of Amaya Leisure PLC, Lanka Tiles PLC, Haycarb PLC, Hayleys MGT Knitting Mills PLC, The Kingsbury PLC, Dipped Products PLC , & Hayleys Global Beverages (Pvt) Ltd.
Joined Hayleys in 1981. Appointed to the Group Management Committee in 2001.Appointed to the Board in August 2004. Holds a B.A. (Hons.) degree from the University of Kelaniya and a MBA from the University of Colombo. Member of the Agri Cluster of the National Council for Economic Development. Represents Hayleys on the Board of Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (NANCO). Serves on the National Committee on Biotechnology of the National Science Foundation. A current member of the main committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce while having served as Vice Chairman of the Imports Section, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Has responsibility for the Agriculture sector.
Rejoined Hayleys in March 2007. Appointed to the Group Management Committee in July 2007. Appointed to the Board in September 2009. Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and Member, Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Australia . Holds a MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Worked for Hayleys and Diesel & Motor Engineering Co. between 1987 and 2002, and as an Executive Director of the latter. Subsequently held several senior management positions in large private sector entities in Sri Lanka and overseas. Has responsibility for Strategic Business Development and the Consumer sector.
Joined Hayleys Group in 2010. Appointed to the Group Management Committee in February 2010. Appointed to the Board of Hayleys PLC in June 2010 Holds a degree in BSc. Eng (Electronics and Telecommunications) from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Fellow Member (FCMA) of CIMA, UK. Also a Six Sigma (Continuous Improvement Methodology) Black Belt, certified by the Motorola University, Malaysia. Before joining Hayleys, held the position of Director/General Manager of Ansell Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Served as the Chairman of the Manufacturing Association of Export Processing Zone, Biyagama. Has responsibility for the Purification Products Sector.
Dr.H.Cabral, PCIndependent Non Executive Director
Appointed to the Board of Hayleys PLC as an Independent Non-Executive Director in February 2011. President’s Counsel with twenty four years experience in he field of Company Law, Intellectual Property Law, International Trade Law and Commercial Arbitration. Holds a Doctorate in Corporate Law from the University of Canberra, Australia. He is one of the architects of the new Companies Act of Sri Lanka. He serves as Independent Non-Executive Director on the Boards of DIMO PLC, Union Banka PLC, Tokyo Cement PLC, Richard Pieris Distributors Ltd, Lanka ORIX Finance Ltd., Tokyo Super Cement Co. (Lanka) Ltd. & Fuji Cement Co. (Lanka) Ltd. He serves on several Audit Committees, Nomination Committees and Remuneration Committees, chairing some of them, Dr. Cabral is the author of several books on Corporate Law and Intellectual Property Law.
Dr. K.I.M. Ranasoma
Joined Hayleys in August, 2010 as an Executive Director and took over as Managing Director of DPL in April 2011. Appointed to the Hayleys Group Management Committee in January 2011 and to the Board in April, 2011. Former Country Chairman/ Managing Director of Shell Gas Lanka Limited and Shell Terminal Lanka Limited. Holds a First Class Honours Degree in Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, a Doctorate from Cambridge University, UK and a MBA with Distinction from Wales University, UK. Has responsibility for the Hand Protection Sector.
Appointed to the Board of Hayleys PLC as a Director in June 2011, and to the Hayleys Group Management Committee in September 2011. Serves as the Managing Director of Amaya Leisure PLC. A Member of the Institute of Hospitality UK (formerly HCIMA) and of the Royal Society of Health, London. Counts over 38 years experience in the trade. Having specialized in Hotel design, he has been responsible for the careful planning and execution of Amaya Resorts & Spa’s refurbishment and rehabilitation programmes. Director of the Fortress Resorts PLC, Hunas Falls PLC, Hotel Services (Ceylon) PLC, Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC and Kelani Valley Plantations PLC.
M.H. JamaldeenIndependent Non Executive Director
Appointed to the Board of Hayleys PLC as a Non-executive Director of the company in February 2014. A Financial Professional with over 10 years of experience. Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, UK. Currently serves as a Director of Steradian Capital Investments (Pvt) Ltd responsible for Financing, Corporate Structures, Acquisitions and Development. Holds a degree in Engineering and Business from the University of Warwick, UK.
Joined Hayleys Advantis Group in 1985. Was appointed a Director to a subsidiary Company in 1996 and a Director of Hayleys Advantis Ltd. in July 2002. Appointed as the Deputy Managing Director of Hayleys Advantis Group in January 2010. Was appointed Managing Director of the Hayleys Advantis Group on 1st April 2011. Appointed to the Hayleys Group Management Committee in February 2011 and the Hayleys Board in April 2013. Former Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freight Forwarders Association (SLFFA) and currently functions as a Member of the Advisory Council of the Association. Holds an MBA from the Edith Cowan University of Western Australia. Has responsibilities within the Transportation Sector.
