society, which has been associated with Hayleys Consumer for 20
years.
HCPL Director Jude Silva said that HCPL and Fujifilm were
committed to giving enthusiasts an opportunity to showcase their
talents and promote photography in Sri Lanka. "We have worked
closely with the Kurunegala Photographic Society in the past as
promoting photography is one of the society’s main objectives
and this exhibition is an ideal way to achieve this," he said.
Mr. Silva extended an invitation to all professionals and those
aspiring to be professionals to send in their entries for this
elite competition.
Entry forms that contain all details inclusive of the terms and
conditions of the competition may be obtained from the
Exhibition Secretary of the Society. The closing date for
entries is February 7th, 2007.
The President of the Kurunegala Photographic Society Dr. T. S.

Hayleys Consumer has always been very generous in helping the
society and has been the sponsor for every annual exhibition the
society organized over the past decade. "As a result,
photographers in the Wayamba and Kurunegala areas have received
tremendous benefits throughout these past few years," he said.
The society has a membership of 300 and over 2,000 student
members, many of whom have undergone free photography courses
through the efforts of the society.
The Secretary of the Society Mr. M. G. Jayasinghe said that
Fujifilm has helped them overcome financial and technical
obstacles and that the support received from Hayleys Consumer is
praiseworthy. "We also appreciate the arrangements made for
regional Fujifilm distributors to support this event," he said.
