Abacus Sri Lanka
officially launched Abacus TravelSecure, Abacus’ fully
integrated travel insurance booking solution, by enlisting
Hayleys AIG as its very first travel insurance partner. By this
Abacus is enabled to provide local travel agents and travellers
easy and convenient access to Hayleys AIG’s travel insurance
policies through the Abacus host system.
Today’s
sophisticated and seasoned travellers automatically ask for
travel insurance when they make their travel plans. This could
mean more paperwork for travel agents. But with Abacus
TravelSecure which brings real time and immediate activation of
travel insurance policies to the Sri Lanka travel industry,
travel agents can count on a more streamlined and time saving
application process contributing to greater levels of efficiency
within their operation.

Abacus TravelSecure
provides travel agents with a seamless integrated ability to
book travel insurance, with key features such as, Easy
integration as the travel insurance segment is integrated as one
of the travel components, together with reservations for air,
hotel or car within the same passenger name record (PNR).
This convenience
streamlines travel agent’s current workflow, as they do not need
to book the travel insurance in a separate application.
Some other
additional features would be Time saving in search and
application of travel insurance, Reduction of paper usage and
time to complete application since travel agents will no longer
need to fill in carbon copies of application forms, Mask
navigation, Travel insurance can be booked in Abacus
TravelSecure regardless of air, hotel and car booking status,
Improved efficiency – Abacus TravelSecure is a fully integrated
segment that directly transfers all the names selected to be
insured and their corresponding details, from the PNR to the
booking mask. This feature ensures data accuracy and reduces
duplication work for the travel agent.
