part of Hayleys and the American International Group since its
establishment in 2000 in Sri Lanka opened a branch in Galle on
23rd October 2006 in an effort to expand geographically in to
other parts of the country.
Galle has been strategically chosen by Hayleys AIG as a hub in
spreading its wings to the southern parts of the island.
Since its inception, AIG which was mainly offering its services
to the corporate sector has now expanded in to the retail sector
as well.
A comprehensive retail and commercial insurance product range is
on offer to those in the small and medium size enterprises in
the Galle district and the rest of the southern province. This
comprehensive retail insurance offering comprises of motor
insurance, household insurance, travel insurance, personal
accident insurance and Voluntary employment benefits for the

insurance products for the business owners.
According to the Managing Director of Hayleys AIG Goktug Gur
they will invest further in opening more branches in the island
to offer its products and highly benchmarked claims payment
services to the public as they remain optimistic about the
market and economic conditions amidst the prevailing security
situation in the country at present.
